Candia Castellani was born in Florence in 1978.
She has been a pupil of Leonardo Mattioli, Linda Wolfsgruber at Sarmede, Octavia Monaco and Arianna Papini and she has published illustrated books (“La Principessa del Taj Mahal”, Aliberti Editore Jr.) and illustrations for magazines specialized in childhood issues (Ariete salute Editore) and literature such as Il caffè illustrato. She has been selected by Le immagini della Fantasia, in Sarmede, for the Fiabe delle Terre d’India festival.
Since 2015 she has been illustrator, teacher and director of the School of Illustration in Scandicci. Since 2018 she has been a member of Ai, Association of Authors of Images. Selected by Lucca Comics Junior 2018 for the illustration “Fantasmagorie”, as part of the contest “OLTRE GLI SPAZI INESPLORATI. Sulle tracce di Jules Verne”.
In 2020 she was selected for the 2020 Annual of Authors of Images and won the “Without Filters” award and bronze medal for the Magazine section.
